Megan Magill, Artistic Director

Megan is originally from Tyler, Texas, and was a working actress in New York City for almost a decade. Megan has her Bachelors in Musical Theatre and is a member of Actors Equity Association.  She has performed all over the country in Broadway National Tours, as well as regional theatre.  In addition, she has done several shows in New York where she received critical acclaim by the New York media.  Some favorite credits include: You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown (Sally Brown) at the Lucille Lortel Theatre and the original musical, Soon of a Mornin which was presented at the prestigious New York Musical Theatre Festival.  Megan first performed the role of Sally in Andrew Lippa’s musical/workshop Merry Christmas Charlie Brown. Other favorite credits include, Chicago (Velma) The Spitfire Grill (Percy), Crazy For You (Patsy), Honky Tonk Angels (Sue Ellen), and Guys and Dolls (Adelaide).  

In addition to performing Megan had the unique opportunity to teach, direct and choreograph with American Ballet Theatre’s conservatory program, Ballet Tech located in the heart of Manhattan.

Megan’s love for theatre and her love for children led her to teaching at Ballet Tech and lead her today as she shares her love of musical theatre with students in Tyler, TX.   

Magill Musical Theatre Studio's original productions include Little Miss Sweet Potato (2014), Lipshtick: The Musical (2015), The Moment: The Musical (2016), In My Room (2017), Over Easy: The Musical (2018), The Palm Motor Inn (2019), Long Story Short (2021) and Wigs (2022).   Each production features MMTS's students and is written, directed and choreographed by Megan Magill.
